Came across this Langston Hughes poem while doing some reading tonight and wanted to throw it out there.
Dreams
Hold fast to dreams
for if dreams die
life is a broken-winged bird
that cannot fly.
Hold fast to dreams
for when dreams go
life is a barren field
frozen with snow.
Thoughts?
My 7th and 8th grade writing workshop teacher made us memorize that poem. That and part of the "I Have a Dream" speech. Ahhh those glorious days of junior high!
