...which means that Grand Opening is now in my rearview mirror. It went really well, but I'm glad it's past. I got ten highly-needed hours of sleep last night, so the zombie-feeling I've been fighting the last few weeks is completely gone (for now).
I've been up since 6:30 this morning, which seemed as good a time as any to shed the clothes I wore to work yesterday and get to work on the mixes that have been twirling through my head for weeks now. The one big playlist I've been tweaking off-and-on has now been paired down and sorted into two new playlists. At this point I find myself in the rare position of needing more songs, so I'm sifting through the new Dashboard album. (Speaking of Dashboard, Curt and Amy saw them a few days ago in Texas...check out her great blog for the details.)
History has shown that I generally suck at getting these mixes mailed out in a reasonable time frame. So moving forward I plan on posting them to itunes as an imix. Track listings and the accompanying notes will be posted here as well, along with the necessary details to find it in the virtual mixed-tape bin that is the imix corner of the itunes store. Hopefully this will keep me from making good-intentioned promises that never get from my computer to the nearest post office.
I do have some work to get done today, but that's not for another three hours. For now I'm gonna walk across the parking lot to the Starbucks and get a little wake-me-up. And a biscotti. Or maybe a sconce, er, scone.
The million dollar question--are you cheering for Boston or Cleveland?
