On certain Sundays in November
when the weather bothers me
I empty drawers of other summers
where my shadows used to be...
It's been a gray kind of day week. But that's okay, because I had today off. Things I accomplished today after skipping out on watching football with friends:
Watch Godfather II on AMC.
Watch Godfather I on AMC.
Start laundry.
Go to Target (don't get too jealous, Jeff).
Finish laundry.
And when I got back to the Residence Inn, the lobby greeted me with a little Hard Candy. Can't beat that, especially on a Sunday in November. So now I'm spinning the whole album and getting back on track with this daily blogging thing.
What else is new, you ask? Well, let's see. I have friends who won't talk to me. If you ever want to lose friends (and alienate people) all you need to do is get a job where all you do is travel and work, work and travel. 24/7. Then you can't talk when they want to talk, and you in turn get mad when you can talk and they don't have time for you. So that's pretty awesome.
I did polish off my year end mixed cd. Usually that's an arduous process that, once completed, merits its own post. Then I never get around to mailing it to half the people that have asked for a copy. As usual, upon further review I realize that I suck as a person a lot more than I originally thought. At any rate, I just published it as an iMix over at iTunes so Motel Songs: The 2008 Mix should be available there soon enough.
I could go on, but I bummed Iron Man from a friend and I've been meaning to watch it for three days now.
A travel-and-work life is about to become a regular part of my reality. Plus, if you're still around The Woodlands in a year I may be one of your neighbors.

Sounds like somebody has a case of the Mondays.
Cheer up, my friend!

Chin up...they're just jealous they can't rock the fever blister and still be undeniably sexy. Sad, but true.
