This gave me goosebumps as I listened to it on the drive out of Houston. Monday night I drove three hours to Houston, crashed at Justin's house, got up early Tuesday and flew to Big Spring, voted, did some laundry at mom's, and then flew back to Houston a few hours later, only then to drive the three hours back to Lafayette, Louisiana. It was a long day, but a very good day. I got to see some of my family and talk to some others.
And, of course, it was a historic day for our country.
One of the cingular words used throughout the campaign was change. Whether or not your guy won last night, I'm hoping today that all of us seek to be the change we wish to see in the world.
Left my cell phone in Stacey's car. When he dropped me off at the airport. I have a three hour drive to make after landing in Houston. On election night. When I might want to know what's going on in the world. *sigh* I still manage to surprise myself at times, even after 30 years and 10 months of being me.
Today I slept the extra hour, worked at the branch, worked on my laptop while eating dinner and listening to football, then spent 15 minutes trying to convince the other half of my brain to kick in.
But anything interesting that might be in there between the ear wax is definitely not coming out tonight.
So uh....how about those honey mustard flavored Pringles, huh? How crazy is that?
I read somewhere (someone's blog, perhaps?) that November is National Blog Posting Month. The challenge is to blog daily for the month of November, so maybe I'll have to post a little more than a few videos every Tuesday.
