Such a life...such a life...such a life...I'm a comet and honestly, I don't know why...
It's been a fun, relaxing day. I slept in, watched some TV, ran, drove out to Avery Island and back (while catching up on some podcasts, but that's another post), spent hours browsing both Barnes and Noble AND Books-A-Million (without buying anything!), and am now comfortably back in my room. Everything outside these walls today was done while being "off the radar" since I left my cell phone behind. Sometimes it's nice to think that no one in the world can reach me at that exact instant (at least, when "no one in the world" is limited in scope to "bank employees who are calling to ask me dumb questions").
Tonight I'm spinning This Desert Life (a criminally under-rated album, as defined by both myself and Alicia. And we know our stuff when it comes to these things) and doing some research via the internets. Everything from half-marathons to run in 2009 to what kind of fish and the accompanying tank to put in my next apartment. And furniture to fill the apartment is somewhere on the list of things to do, as well.
But for now I'm updating this blog. Life is good today. Really, really good. That, too, is being saved for another post.
Oh, and I should note that several of my friends ran the Dallas White Rock Half Marathon today. Congrats to Curt and Bethe, two voices I hear in my head every morning when I'm putting on my running shoes.
And with that, I'm clicking Publish Now so I can go make a sandwich and get back to the four other open tabs on my computer. In the words of Guster, I hope tomorrow is like today.
